Diesel with Foscarini

‘Hexx’ table lamp. Diesel Living, 2014.

38cm wide / 58cm high.

Innovative contemporary design lamp – The Hexx table lamp comes from the union of two different hexagonal prisms made of perforated sheet metal superimposed so that the screens of the two elements do not coincide. The simple idea using two internal bulbs (each with its own switch) leads to an optical effect know as ‘moiré’ – that creates a fascinating geometric play of light.

The Hexx lamp was quick to sell out and is rare to find nowadays, and has become something of a design collector’s piece. It was produced in a range of just three colourways – this version in lightly sprayed green combines with the metal to give it a contemporary industrial look.

Pepijn Fabius Clovis / studio (Nl.1996-Now)

Pepijn Fabius is a Dutch contemporary designer who makes furniture and objects which are on the edge of art and design.
Known for his use of ‘waste material’. These chairs are a good example of his design approach. The use of humble materials like left over wood was part of a project instigated by the designer at the start of the Covid years (2020/21). Imperfections are embraced, thus making each design unique – Some of the pieces are labelled by the designer.
