In 1974, the Italian designer Enzo Mari published 19 furniture designs that one could make by oneself in his book ‘Autoprogettazione?’. With this programm he created a counter proposal to the paradigm of mass consumption, an alternative to formalism and opening a path to the democratisation of design.
This chair was made by a skilled carpenter according to the original ideas Enzo Mari in the 1990s and has since gained a desirable warm patina.
Nice original condition. Some small scratches and stains commensurate with age.

midcentury kinetic sculpture

Circa 1960s standing sculpture in the manner of Harry and Val Bertoia. The sculpture weighs ±50kg. and is made from solid iron and steel. The two standing sections can be easily moved so that they swing slightly from side to side.

JT Kalmar (Austria c20th)

This elegant, repeated onion shaped ‘Tulipan’ chandelier was designed and manufactured by J.T. Kalmar in the 1960’s. Made in Vienna, Austria. The chandelier features a brass frame and has 30 hand-blown glass elements. The condition is very good.

Afra & Tobia Scarpa (Italy 1935- Now)

‘Soriana’ Lounge Chairs & Ottoman. Cassina 1970s / early edition.

Two early edition chairs and ottoman. The chairs do have issues with the upholstery (fading/ a few holes and staining) and would benefit from being reupholstered. The ottoman is in better condition with minor signs of age and use.
